On January 27-28th 2023, me and more than half of all my classmates gathered at the Masaryk University, Faculty of Arts, for two days intense hackathon. It was the first big offline event in our otherwise remote **Design of Information Services** study program. The main objective of this hackathon was to go through the full design thinking process. Therefore, the focus was more on the methodology and processes, than on the results itself. Nevertheless, the solutions we came up with were of a high quality and they will be explored further.
Before the Hackathon, we were divided into three teams and each team had to bring their own challenge, something that they wanted to explore and find solution to.

With my team, we chose to work together with Kaprálův mlýn, a centre for ecological education, to explore the ways to improve their course for elementary and high school students, possibly by using advanced technology such as AR or VR. During the research phase as well as throughout the design thinking process, we cooperated with Tomáš Kozel from Kaprálův mlýn.
The main objective of the ecological courses for students, and therefore also our main objective was to:
Make the students think about the climate change and take steps towards a better future.
Tomáš gave us several ideas we could explore to tackle the topic:
